Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India in partnership with Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh is organizing the 20th edition of the National Conference on e-Governance 2017 from 9th - 10th January, 2017 at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
The National Conference on e-Governance, which started in 1997, has since become the most important e-Governance events in the country. This edition of the National Conference on e-Governance is aligned with the Digital India programme. Digital India programme is the flagship program of Government of India with a vision to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. Andhra Pradesh, which is a leader in e-Governance in the country, is hosting this year’s conference and aims to showcase the giant strides taken by India in the field of e-Governance.

Discussion on the usage of IoT and Data Analytics in transforming Government Processes and Service Delivery especially in the areas of Agriculture, Education, HealthCare. The discussion shall also focus on the role Startup companies are playing in furthering the Digital Transformation Agenda of Governmenmt of India.

Plenary 2 - Cyber Security Policy for the future
Focus to be on discussion on building up India’s capabilities in terms of Cyber Security Governance, Monetary Transactions and defense. As we move towards having increased digital transactions, cyber security gains prime importance. To be able to protect against cyber thefts and attacks there is a need to garner relevant discussions for enabling policies.

Plenary 3 - Digital Connectivity to the last mile
Digital India’ is only possible when the connectivity reaches to the non-urban and rural areas. Digital inclusion will ensure digital transformation and real time data collection. Focus to be on how Digital Connectivity can be assured to the last mile through a fibre grid, alternative technologies for remote areas as well as for natural calamities and disasters.

Plenary 4 - Technology led monetary transactions leading to financial inclusion
Focus to be on active involvement of technology in monetary transactions. Phasing out cash and enabling cash less payment through aadhar linked bank accounts along with G2C and C2G transactions to act as enablers in Financial inclusion.

CM Office Real – Time Executive (CORE) Dashboard is the reflection of various IT initiatives undertaken by the Government of AP in IT and IoT across different sectors. Data is collected in real time through over 10 lac IoT devices. Data collected is monitored 24*7 and real time analytics help in preemptive analysis thereby enabling the Government to take preventive steps rather than reactionary measures.
